Speech and Language Therapy: Crisis Support

This level of support is for children, young people and families that routinely experience crises but struggle to access the help offered at other levels or for whom this help hasn’t made a difference.
Or for children young people and families who are currently unable to benefit from evidence-based support but there remains a significant concern or risk.

SALT offer services in a number of different settings including in the home for some children. 

SALT work with wider health and social care team to support children’s communication needs being recognised and responded to, some of this work includes working with young people who are known to the youth offending team, working with children educated other than at home and working with children looked after. 

Salt also offers a specialist dysphagia and swallow clinics in conjunction with GWH.
