The Special Olympics Movement is the ‘third arm’ of the Olympics organisation.
The Special Olympics is dedicated to enhancing the lives of those with an Intellectual (Learning) Disability through training and competition in numerous sporting disciplines, in sports including football, boccia, athletics and tennis. This provides an opportunity to develop physical fitness, demonstrate courage, experience joy and develop friendships with other Special Olympics athletes.
